Habiganj District Intelligence Branch (DB) police arrested the notorious drug dealer Salauddin (25) with a large amount of phencidil in his arms while smuggling it in a stone-laden truck. At that time, 180 bottles of Phencidil were recovered from him.

Last Tuesday late night, a group of police under the leadership of DB OC Safiqul Islam conducted a raid near the Mirpur bus stand in Bahubal’s new market and arrested the drug dealer along with a truck loaded with stones. At this time, other drug dealers fled. Police searched the truck and recovered the said Phencidil. Arrested Salahuddin is the son of Abdul Sattar of Shantinagar village in Goainghat, Sylhet.

He was sent to jail by the court on Wednesday afternoon after filing a case under the Drug Act.
