Moulvibazar Model police station arrested two persons including one accused.

SI Ratan Kumar Halder and ASI Mahbubul Alam of Model Police Station conducted a raid on Saturday (December 24) night in Sherpur area of Sadar Upazila of the district and were sentenced to 6 months rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Tk 1,000 in a drug case (GR 128/18). The absconding accused Iqbal Hossain was arrested.

In another operation, a team of Sadar Model Police Station, including SI Ratan Kumar Halder, ASI Mahbubul Alam, ASI Said Hossain, ASI Shafiqul Islam conducted operations in different parts of Sylhet city and arrested a person named Awlad Mia (35) who is under warrant in a robbery case.

Awlad Mia is the son of Abdullah Mia of Upper Kagabala village of Sadar Upazila.

SI Ratan Kumar Halder said that the arrested accused have been handed over to Moulvibazar district learned court on Sunday, December 25 morning.
