SSC 96 Batch Reunion and Teacher Appreciation at Srimangal

SSC 1996 batch reunion and teacher awarding ceremony of traditional Bhunbir Dasarath High School and College of Srimangal, Moulvibazar was held.
On Friday (December 9) at 10 a.m., a rally was taken out at 10 a.m. by students of the school’s 1996 batch and current students. After planting the tree, the first session of the program started with recitation of Holy Quran and Gita, blowing of balloons, unveiling of Smritigrant and singing of National Anthem.
After prayers and midday meal, the school grounds became lively with the procession of more than half a hundred and current students of the 1996 batch through various programs throughout the day including cultural programs. On this occasion, the students of the 96th batch presented mementos to the teachers of the school. The deceased teachers were also honored posthumously. In these events, under the chairmanship of Jhalak Kanti Chakraborty, the principal of the institution and under the supervision of 96 batch student Taj Uddin, Bhunbir Union Parishad chairman Md. Abdur Rashid, school land donor member Debashis Chowdhury Raja, his younger brother Srimangal Press Club president Biswajyoti Chowdhury, vice-principal Dipankar Das, teacher Maulana were present. Mahmud Abdal Chowdhury Sunny, a student of 1996 batch of the school, who came from far away London, expressed his feelings and said that when I got to know from his classmates that they have taken the initiative to hold the SSC 1996 batch reunion, then I came to today’s event with the pull of childhood memories. In this way former students Debtosh Das, Sudipta Chakraborty, Saiful Islam Bulbul and others who participated in the program reminisced about their past.
