The leaders and activities of the Islamic University unit of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) have presented a 19-point demand to Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Nakib Muhammad Nasrullah, aiming to establish a student-friendly campus and ensure students’ rights on Saturday noon.

The leaders submitted a memorandum to the Vice-Chancellor, outlining these 19 demands. At that time, the present IU unit of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal was convened by Sahed Ahmed, the member secretary, and Masud Rumi Mithun, the joint conveners, Anwar Parvez and Rokon Uddin, and members Rafiz Ahmed, Noor Uddin, and others.

Some major demands are strengthening campus security and restricting outsiders’ entry. Improving dining services in residence halls with increased subsidies; Eliminating extra fees and introducing a student-friendly fee structure; Ensuring a ragging-free and drug-free campus; Resolving session delays and ensuring accountability in examinations; Constructing the Shaheed Zia Memorial Complex and acknowledging his contributions in the university’s history.

IU unit of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal Convener Sahed Ahmed said, “Our demands are aimed at ensuring the rights of students.”

Vice-Chancellor Dr. Nakib Muhammad Nasrullah said, “We receive the IU unit JCD leaders 19-point memorandum. University authority committed to ensuring a safe, progressive, and student-friendly campus.”
