The father of the nation has always given importance to technical education. Mayor Md. Ikramul Haque TT said this in the speech of the chief guest at the parents meeting and exchange meeting organized by Mymensingh Polytechnic Institute on Sunday.
The mayor also said that engineers are playing a role in building a better Bangladesh. Our destination is developed Bangladesh by 2041. Engineers are playing an important role in achieving this goal. He is directly responsible for the implementation of all development activities including major projects like Padma Setu, Metrorail project.
Addressing the students, the Mayor advised them to stay away from drugs and militancy along with increasing focus on studies. He also said that Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman always gave importance to practical education. His daughter Sheikh Hasina promoted technical education. As a result, the youth of the country today can earn millions of rupees through freelancing at home.
