Discussion meeting and distribution of Smart Sadachari on the occasion of World Sadachari Safety in Moulvibazar

World Sadachari Day was celebrated in Moulvibazar with the theme of ‘Use vision, technology-based sadachari’.
On Saturday (October 15) morning, a discussion meeting and distribution of smart saadchari was held in the conference room of the district commissioner organized by the district administration and Pratibadhi service and aid center.
Under the chairmanship of Additional District Commissioner (General) Tanya Suntana and under the direction of Dr. Sanjib Maitra, Deputy Director of District Social Services Office Md. Habibur Rahman, Representative of Civil Surgeon Dr. Samad A. Titu, Teacher of Handicapped School and Registration Officer of Social Services Office Swapan Karmakar spoke at the event. NGO representative Shaheen Khan, Syed Ruhul Amin, journalist Nazrul Islam Muhib etc. District Disability Affairs Officer Chandan Kumar Pal delivered the welcome address on the occasion.
Speakers in the discussion meeting said that the government is working to ensure the sustainable development of the country by improving the quality of life of all people with disabilities including the visually impaired. The government is conducting numerous activities including monthly allowance, grant and loan programs for disabled people, setting up of schools, training for parents, home for orphaned disabled children, construction of male and female hostels for working people. White is a symbol of dignity and independence of visually impaired people. So the speakers opined that every visually impaired person should use a cane and other people should assist them in their movement. In the event, 21 Smart Sadacharis and 10 Hair Aids were distributed among the visually challenged people.
