A fraudster has been arrested by the police in Kulaura upazila of Moulvibazar on the charge of cheating on CID identity.

On Monday, the police arrested the fraudster named Raju Rabidas on the charge of cheating the poor women of the tea garden by giving them widow allowance and money in the guise of Bangladesh CID police after raiding the Balichra line of Gazipur tea garden No. 7 Kulaura union of Kulaura upazila.

Kulaura Khana SI Naeemul Hasan arrested CID identity fraudster Raju Rabidas from Balichara workers line of Gazipur tea garden. Meanwhile, the police recovered a fake identity card of the Bangladesh Police Force’s CID from the detainee.

Officer in-charge of Kulaura police station Md. Abduch Chalek said that the fraudster Raju Rabidas has long confessed to cheating the poor women tea workers of the tea plantations by making fake ID cards of various organizations and pretending to be government officials. Case No-14 of Kulaura Police Station, Date: 11/09/2022 AD, Section: 171/420/465/468 Penal Code has been sent to Moulvibazar District learned court against him.
