The inauguration ceremony of the “Multimedia, Fact Check and AI Training” program was held to enhance the professional skills of journalists in Durgapur Upazila of the district. The Press Institute Bangladesh (PIB) under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting organized this training. The Deputy Speaker of the National Parliament Barrister Kaiser Kamal was present as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony.
The Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Khandaker Mushfiqur Rahman was present as the special guest. The program was presided over by the Director General of the Press Institute Bangladesh (PIB) Faruk Wasif. Netrakona District Superintendent of Police Md. Tariqul Islam was present at the time.
In the current rapidly changing media world, the importance of artificial intelligence (AI), fact-checking and multimedia journalism is immense. The speakers expressed hope that this training will play a special role in enhancing the capacity of local journalists to prevent misinformation and present objective news.
