Alhaj A.K.M. Fazlul Haque Milan, Member of Parliament for the Gazipur-5 constituency, stated that there is no alternative to modern education in the present era. Students must not rely solely on textbook-based learning; they need to be skilled in information technology, technical education, and vocational training. If an environment conducive to modern education is ensured in every educational institution, the new generation of Kaliganj will be able to play a significant role in the country’s development.

Alhaj A.K.M. Fazlul Haque Milan—who serves as the Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment and is the MP for Gazipur-5—made these remarks during the inauguration ceremonies of new academic buildings, part of an initiative to improve educational infrastructure in Kaliganj, Gazipur. On Tuesday (September 15), he attended various events as the chief guest at different educational institutions across Kaliganj Municipality, Bahadurshadi Union, and Jamalpur Union.

A total of Tk 11 crore 26 lakh 91 thousand was spent on constructing four-story academic buildings for Muslin Cotton Mills High School, Government Girls’ High School, Jugli High School, Jamalpur Rajmohan Vidyapith, and Chupair Girls’ School, with funding provided by the Education Engineering Department. Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) ATM Kamrul Islam, Upazila BNP Convener Md. Humayun Kabir Master, and Member Secretary Khalekuzzaman Bablu attended the day-long events as special guests.

Speakers at the events included former Mayor of Kaliganj Municipality Md. Lutfur Rahman; former General Secretary of Upazila BNP Md. Solaiman Alam; Ashrafi Habibullah; Kaliganj Municipal BNP Convener Mohammad Hossain Arman Master; Upazila BNP Convener Committee member Alamgir Hossain Swapan; Municipal BNP Member Secretary Ibrahim Pradhan; member Salahuddin Ahmed; and former General Secretary of the District Chhatra Dal Yasin Molla, among others.
