SAU teacher-student team visits Wildlife Service Foundation

A team of teachers and students of the Faculty of Veterinary Animal and Biomedical Sciences of Sylhet Agricultural University visited the Bangladesh Wildlife Service Foundation in Sreemangal. On Saturday (June 27) afternoon, a team of 100 people including 8 teachers and 92 students led by Dr. Matiur Rahman, Head of the Department of Veterinary Animal and Biomedical Sciences of Sylhet Agricultural University, visited various animals preserved at the Wildlife Service Foundation. They visited the conservation and activities on-site.
During the visit, they got a detailed idea about the rescue, treatment, rehabilitation and release of injured, sick and endangered wildlife. At the same time, they visited various service activities conducted for the protection and welfare of animals and birds and gained practical experience in this regard. During this time, teachers and students also expressed interest in the medical management of wildlife, research activities, and research activities conducted to develop medicines and treatment methods for animals and birds.
During this time, some rare tree seedlings were gifted by the Bangladesh Wildlife Service Foundation. After the visit, a commemorative crest was presented to the Chairman of the Bangladesh Wildlife Service Foundation, Sitesh Ranjan Dev, by the Sylhet Agricultural University in recognition of the organization’s special contribution to wildlife conservation.
