RUET’s new students receive machine-readable library cards

Machine-readable library cards have been distributed among the new students of the 2025 series of Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET). On Saturday (August 8) at 10:30 am, the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Professor Dr. Md. Nurul Islam, handed over the cards to the students in a festive atmosphere at the Central Library building of RUET.
Acting Librarian of RUET, Md. Mahbubul Alam, was present at the time. Incidentally, these cards are being distributed to 1 thousand 235 new students of the 2025 series in 14 departments of RUET. By using the library card, students will be able to use about 40 thousand printed books in the Central Library of RUET.
In addition, there are numerous issues of IEEE journals on 197 titles, e-books, conference journals and magazines, courses, standards, authors, citations and other 73 lakh 67 thousand 774 search items, which they can study through the designated webpage of the library; which will play a very important role in the students’ higher education as well as career development.
