Under the theme “Alongside quality education, let us come forward to serve humanity,” relief supplies were distributed among flood-affected people through a joint initiative of the CNPI Volunteer Organization and the Rover Scouts Group of Chapainawabganj Government Polytechnic Institute. Last Wednesday, emergency relief supplies were distributed among 300 helpless families in the flood-affected and severely impacted areas of Narayanpur Union under Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila. The relief items included dry food, safe drinking water, and essential medicines.

Following the recent sudden flooding and natural disaster, large areas of Narayanpur Union were inundated, leaving many local residents stranded by floodwaters. As a result, shortages of food and safe drinking water emerged in the affected areas. In response to the situation, the CNPI Volunteer Organization and Rover Scouts Group of Chapainawabganj Government Polytechnic Institute jointly undertook this humanitarian initiative to stand beside the distressed people. Using their own funds and money collected through donations, members of the two organizations purchased essential relief supplies for the flood victims and distributed them among the affected families.

Among those present at the relief distribution program was Md. Omar Faruk, Principal of Chapainawabganj Government Polytechnic Institute and Chief Adviser of the CNPI Volunteer Organization. Also present were Md. Shahidul Islam, Rover Scouts Leader and Adviser of CNPI, and Md. Azizur Rahman, Adviser of CNPI. At the event, Hamza, President of CNPI; Shakib, General Secretary; Jakir a member of the Rover Scouts; and other active members of both organizations were also present.

On behalf of the organizers, gratitude was expressed to Maruf Afzal Rajon**, Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) of Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila; Nazir Uddin, Chairman of Narayanpur Union Parishad; and the Honorable Panel Chairman for their overall cooperation and guidance in implementing the relief distribution program.

The organizers said, “Standing beside helpless people during times of disaster is our social and humanitarian responsibility. This small effort by Chapainawabganj Government Polytechnic Institute will hopefully provide at least some relief to the flood-affected people.” They also expressed their commitment to standing beside people during any future disasters.
