Reception for the appointment of two teachers of PSTU as vice-chancellors

Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU) teachers Professor Dr. S. M. Hemayet Jahan and Professor Dr. Md. Mamun Or Rashid were given a reception for their appointment as vice-chancellors of two separate universities. On Wednesday (June 24) at 11 am, the University Teachers Association of Bangladesh (UTAB) PSTU Unit and Zia Parishad (Officers Unit) jointly organized the reception program at the university’s TSC Conference Hall.
The reception was presided over by the convener of the reception organizing committee and PSTU Registrar Professor Dr. Mohammad Atiqur Rahman, while the organizing secretary of UTAB PSTU Unit and Dean of the Faculty of Oceanography, Professor Dr. A. B. M. Saiful Islam, moderated the program.
The newly appointed PSTU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. S. M. Hemayet Jahan and Barisal University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Mamun Or Rashid were presented with floral greetings, crests and honorary mementos. Deans of various faculties of the university, departmental chairmen, teachers, officials and employees and students were present at the time.
The speakers said that the university family is proud that two teachers of PSTU have been appointed as Vice Chancellors of two universities in South Bengal. They also expressed hope that under their leadership, the concerned universities will add new dimensions to education, research and administrative activities.
