Prize Distribution for Police Kabaddi Championship in Moulvibazar

Moulvibazar Sadar Police Station has emerged as the champion in both the Under-20 men’s and women’s categories of the 1st Community Police Kabaddi Championship-2026. The tournament’s final matches and prize distribution ceremony took place on Sunday (September 20) afternoon at the indoor stadium adjacent to the M Saifur Rahman Stadium in Moulvibazar, held under the slogan: “Shun drugs, eradicate juvenile gangs, and build a healthy, vigorous life.” Superintendent of Police Md. Monirul Islam attended the event as the chief guest and distributed the prizes.

In his address, the chief guest said, “The objective of this sport is to keep the youth away from drugs and juvenile gangs, and to ensure they remain physically and mentally healthy. You are our future. You will lead the country in the future. Therefore, you must stay away from negative activities and focus on your studies and sports.” In today’s finals, Moulvibazar Sadar Police Station became the champion in the Under-20 men’s category, while Rajnagar Police Station finished as the runner-up. Meanwhile, in the Under-20 women’s category, Moulvibazar Sadar Police Station emerged as the champion, with Sreemangal Police Station finishing as the runner-up.

Organized by the Moulvibazar District Police with the full cooperation of the District Sports Association, the competition featured seven teams in the men’s category (selected through preliminary rounds across the district’s seven police stations) and two teams in the women’s category (formed through a selection process). Following the district-level competition, a selected team will be sent to compete at the Range level.

Also present at the event were Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime & Ops) Nobel Chakma, PPM; Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Abul Khayer; District Sports Association Member Secretary Hanif Md. Khan Niyaz; Moulvibazar Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Saiful Islam; and Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation Executive Committee member Delwar Hossain, alongside senior officials of the District Police and other concerned individuals.
