Dr. Mohammad Mohiuddin, Director (Acting) of the Public Relations Office at Jahangirnagar University, has been elected President of the Bangladesh Public University Public Relations Association (BPUPRA). Md. Samsul Alam (Shibli), Deputy Director of the Public Relations and Press Publication Department at Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University, has been elected General Secretary, while Mohammad Al-Amin Khan, Assistant Director (Information and Public Relations Division) at Bangladesh Open University, has been elected Organizing Secretary. A new 25-member committee for the 2027–28 term was formed during the organization’s Annual General Meeting, held on Friday (October 16) at Jahangirnagar University.

Other members of the executive committee include: Senior Vice-President Rafiqul Islam Panna (University of Dhaka); Vice-Presidents Mohammad Ali (Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur) and Md. Nazrul Islam (Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University); Joint General Secretaries Khalilur Rahman (Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University) and Md. Saiful Islam (Jagannath University); Treasurer Md. Babul Hossain Babu (Pabna University of Science and Technology); Office Secretary Farhad Rahman Sarkar (Jahangirnagar University); Publicity and Publication Secretary Md. Salman Sadekin Chayan (Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology); Social Welfare Secretary Mostak Jahan (Bangladesh University of Professionals); and Sports Secretary Muhammad Rashedul Islam (Chattogram University of Engineering and Technology).

Additionally, the following individuals were elected as executive committee members: Agriculturist Deen Mohammad Dinu (Bangladesh Agricultural University), Md. Bashirul Islam (Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University), Golam Mortuza (Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology), Kamrun Nahar (Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology), and Khademul Islam (Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University). Sahed Hasan (Islamic University), Khandaker Moazzem Hossain (University of Chittagong), and Abu Saleh Muhammad Musa (Islamic Arabic University).

The committee was announced with the unanimous consent of all present at a meeting presided over by the organization’s outgoing president, Md. Abul Kashem Shikdar. At the conclusion of the meeting, the leaders of the former committee handed over their responsibilities to the new committee. It is worth noting that the ‘Bangladesh Public University Public Relations Association (BPUPRA)’—comprising public relations officers from all public universities in Bangladesh—was established in 2020.
