Nakla Upazila NGO Forum Joins Nationwide Tree Plantation Campaign

The Nakla Upazila NGO Forum in Sherpur has actively joined the government’s nationwide tree plantation campaign, launched in line with the Prime Minister’s initiative to plant 250 million trees across Bangladesh over the next five years.
As part of the program, leaders of the Upazila NGO Forum handed over saplings of various species to the Upazila Administration on Saturday.
Among those present were Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Jahangir Alam, Upazila Social Services Officer Roman Hasan, BRAC District Coordinator Farhana Milki, Executive Director of Integrated Development Association (IDA) Lutfor Rahman, Bureau Bangladesh Nakla Branch Manager Md. Yusuf Ali, MATI Area Coordinator Mahbub Rahman, In-charge of Nakla Primary Eye Care Centre operated by Dr. K. Zaman BNSB Eye Hospital Md. Nazmus Sakib, Swabalambi Unnayan Samity Upazila Coordinator Nargis Akter and Project Organizer Md. Nur Hossain, UDDIPAN Branch Manager Md. Samrat Mia, SEBA Branch Manager Nuruzzaman, Shakti Foundation Branch Manager Suman Sarkar, Abdul Karim Sarkar Health Centre Manager Shariful Islam, Head Teacher of Nakla Autism and Intellectual Disability School Akram Hossain, General Secretary of Bhurdi Agricultural Producers Welfare Association Helal Uddin, representatives of RDS, officials of various government departments, representatives of registered NGOs and voluntary organizations, members of the Upazila NGO Coordination Committee, and head and assistant teachers of government primary schools.
Later, the saplings were distributed to the head teachers or their nominated representatives of different government primary schools for plantation on their respective school premises.
