Mobile servicing training inaugurated at Simanta Digital Skill Center in Chapainawabganj

A month-long mobile phone servicing training program has been started at Simanta Digital Skill Center located in Shahbazpur Union Parishad of Shibganj Upazila by the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB). 25 selected youth from the border area are participating in this training. The trainees will be provided theoretical and practical training on hardware and software troubleshooting, repair, maintenance and modern mobile servicing of mobile phones.
At the inauguration ceremony, Lt. Col. Mohammad Tajul Islam Chowdhury, SGP, BFM, PSC, Commander of Mahananda Battalion (59 BGB), said that the main objective of this initiative is to create employment opportunities for the youth of the border area by turning them into skilled human resources and keeping them away from criminal activities including smuggling.
He said that BGB will continue such public welfare programs for human welfare and socio-economic development of the border areas in the future. BGB hopes that this training program will play a positive role in creating employment opportunities for the youth of the border areas, improving the quality of life and preventing smuggling. Local public representatives, dignitaries and senior BGB officials were present at the event.
