Media Briefing by Elite Force SRB on Security at Puja Mandaps in Moulvibazar

This year, the Sharadiya Durgotsav (Durga Puja festival) is being celebrated at 1,022 Puja mandaps (pavilions) across the seven upazilas of Moulvibazar district. To ensure overall security and maintain law and order at these venues, the elite force SRB has joined other security agencies. Saturday (October 17) at 12:00 PM, following an inspection of the Puja mandap at the Ramakrishna Mission in Sreemangal, Moulvibazar, Wing Commander Tazminur Rahman Chowdhury—Commander of SRB-9 (Sylhet)—held a media briefing to outline the various security measures in place.
Leaders of the Sreemangal Puja Celebration Council were also present on the occasion. The SRB Commander stated that intelligence surveillance will be maintained across the more than 1,000 Puja mandaps in Moulvibazar district, with 14 SRB patrol teams and plainclothes intelligence personnel deployed. These teams will operate in various segments to assist in upholding law and order at the mandaps.
