Khandakar Md. Obaid Ullah—younger brother of the late Khandakar Asaduzzaman, a former chairman and a politician known for his clean image—has officially launched his campaign for the post of chairman in Gosinga Union, Sreepur Upazila, Gazipur. He formally inaugurated his election campaign on Sunday afternoon by visiting the grave of the late Khandakar Asaduzzaman and offering prayers.
Subsequently, he exchanged greetings with ordinary residents from various parts of the union and sought their blessings and support. Local dignitaries, political activists, supporters, and people from diverse walks of life were present on the occasion. They participated in prayers and supplications, seeking eternal peace for the soul of the late Khandakar Asaduzzaman.
Khandakar Md. Obaid Ullah said, “I have launched this campaign with the aim of establishing a leadership that is service-oriented, transparent, and dedicated to public welfare, backed by the love and trust of the people of Gosinga Union. If elected, I will work with dedication towards the union’s development, good governance, and the welfare of the people.”
According to locals, Khandakar Md. Obaid Ullah has officially entered the electoral fray by upholding the constructive and clean political ideals of his late brother, Khandakar Asaduzzaman.
