Police have arrested Jisan (25), the mastermind of a sensational robbery and rape case filed in Chakaria, Cox’s Bazar, after he broke into a house and entered it by cutting the grill. Later, based on the information provided by him, a raid was conducted and various country-made weapons including a country-made LG gun were recovered. Police said that a joint team of Matamuhuri Police Investigation Center and Chakaria Police Station conducted the raid under the supervision of Assistant Superintendent of Police (Chakaria Circle) and led by the Officer-in-Charge of Chakaria Police Station.

Jisan was arrested from the Dakshin Konakhali area of Battali Bazar in Purba Baraveola Union under Chakaria Police Station at 1:10 pm on August 28. After the arrest, a raid was conducted in the Khaspara area of Konakhali Union at approximately 1:45 am on August 29 based on the information provided by Jisan during the initial interrogation. According to the police, an old country-made single-barrel LG gun, a range grill cutter, a saw and a hoe were recovered from a specially hidden location on the wooden ceiling of the tin house of Nur Mohammad in Ward No. 8 of the South Konakhali area.

The recovered evidence was duly seized in the presence of witnesses, according to the police. During the initial interrogation, the police claimed that Jisan had confessed to using these weapons in the robbery. A separate case has been registered against the arrested accused at Chakaria Police Station under FIR No. 45, dated August 29, 2026 and GR No. 369 under Section 19(A) of the Arms Act, 1878.

After completing the legal process, the arrested Jisan was handed over to the learned court.Chakaria Police Station said that their operation to suppress crime, recover illegal weapons and ensure public safety is continuing.
