In the latter instance, the patient’s relatives handed the individual over to the Ansar members. The three individuals detained for mobile phone theft were identified as Md. Jony Hossain (30), Jihan (12), and Nadim (11). The person detained for cutting the AC pipe was identified as Shahadat (35), and the person detained for harassment was identified as Anisur (32). Ansar members took the necessary steps to hand over the detainees to the appropriate hospital authorities.

The Ansar members on duty—APC Md. Shafiqul Islam, APC Md. Abdur Razzaq, Ansar Md. Habib Khan, and Ansar Md. Hasan Ali—handed the detainees over to the hospital’s Ward Master, Md. Rezaul, at 9:45 AM, confirming they were in good health and normal condition. Subsequently, hospital authorities released the individual detained for allegedly cutting an AC pipe and the one detained for harassment.

However, as the complainant’s mobile phone was not returned, the hospital’s ward master and supervisor, Sumon, reportedly confined three individuals—who had been detained on suspicion of stealing the phone—in a room. Later, around 3:00 PM, one of the detainees, Md. Joni Hossain, fell ill and was taken to the hospital’s emergency department. Relevant sources indicate that he passed away around 5:00 PM.Police have arrived at the scene to conduct an investigation and are questioning the individuals involved.
