State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief M Iqbal Hossain said that even though the government is working to build a drug-free society, the family must play the main role. Just as the government plays its role in establishing the citizens of a state in society as a whole, the role of family care is key in building a good citizen and a good person from the personal level. Parents have to play the role of a conscious guardian about the overall activities of the child, starting from their movements, habits, friends.
Only then will the child be able to control himself from all bad habits, starting from drugs, and will he be able to develop himself as the future leader of nation-building. The State Minister said that the government is sincere in building a drug-free society. The government will work and is working to eradicate drugs from the society.
Eradicating drugs from the society is part of the struggle to build an ideal state. Today’s friendly football match is being organized to convey the fact that we are all against drugs. The State Minister said these things in his speech as the chief guest at the inauguration of the friendly football match organized on July 18 at the Circuit House ground in Mymensingh to make the youth aware of the dangers of drugs.
This friendly football match was held between the Mymensingh District Administration and the Mymensingh Deputy Commissioner’s Office and journalists in collaboration with the Narcotics Control Department, Mymensingh.
The fascinating football match organized in a festive atmosphere was enjoyed by Mymensingh Deputy Commissioner Md. Saifur Rahman, Superintendent of Police Mohammad Kamrul Hasan and citizens from different walks of life of the city.
