A ‘District Deed Writers’ Rally’ was held in Lalmonirhat with the aim of realizing a seven-point list of demands and calling for the unity of deed writers. The rally took place on Saturday (September 19) at 11:00 AM at the Railway Open Stage in Lalmonirhat, organized by the Lalmonirhat District Branch of the Deed Writers’ Association. Md. Abu Bakar Siddique, President of the Lalmonirhat District Deed Writers’ Association and Vice-Chairman of the Bangladesh Deed Writers’ Association, attended the rally as the chief guest. Md. Sirajul Haque, President of the Sadar Deed Writers’ Association, presided over the event. S.M. Shafiqul Islam Likhan, Assistant Organizing Secretary of the Bangladesh Deed Writers’ Association and Treasurer of both the District and Sadar Deed Writers’ Associations, moderated the rally.

Special guests who addressed the gathering included Md. Hamidur Rahman (Joint Secretary General of the Bangladesh Deed Writers’ Association and General Secretary of the District Association), Md. Mozammel Haque (Organizing Secretary and President of the Aditmari Association), Md. Abdul Kader (Senior Vice-President of the District Association), Md. Ashraful Alam (Vice-President), Md. A.T.M. Musa Shamim (Vice-President and President of the Tushbhandar Association), and Md. Abul Kashem (Joint General Secretary of the District Association and General Secretary of the Hatibandha Association). Speakers at the rally strongly demanded the immediate implementation of the seven-point demands concerning the interests of deed writers and urged all deed writers to remain united and continue their movement and struggle.
