Abdul Awal, Fakirhat (Bagerhat) 
A contractor named Sheikh Shubair Rahman Bablu (35) was killed when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a tree in Fakirhat, Bagerhat. The accident occurred at around 1:30 am on Monday (August 3) in the Shyambagat area of Piljang on the Khulna-Mongla highway. The deceased contractor, Sheikh Shubair Rahman, is the son of Sheikh Hafizur Rahman of Sonadanga area of Khulna.
Police said that Sheikh Shubair Rahman Bablu was going to Khulna from Mongla on a motorcycle. When he reached Piljang Shyambagat, he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a mahogany tree on the side of the highway. He was seriously injured. On receiving information, the police reached the spot, rescued him and quickly brought him to the Upazila Health Complex. The doctor on duty there declared Sheikh Shubair Rahman dead.
Katakhali Highway Police Station OC Sheikh Shahjahan said that a contractor named Sheikh Shubair Rahman Bablu was killed in a motorcycle accident. The body has been handed over to the family after completing the legal process.
