A cleanliness drive and tree plantation program were held in Phulchhari, Gaibandha, as part of the central program of the Bangladesh Nationalist Chhatra Dal. The Udakhali Union unit of Chhatra Dal organized the event on Monday (September 14) in the Udakhali Union of the upazila. As part of the initiative, a cleanliness drive was conducted in the areas surrounding Burail Model School and College. Simultaneously, various types of tree saplings were planted on the school premises and in the adjacent areas.

Present at the event were Ibrahim Akand Selim, Principal of Burail Model School and College, along with local Chhatra Dal leaders and activists, including Simanta Ahmed, Liton Mia, Shamim Mia, and Raihan Sarkar. The participating leaders and activists stated that a clean environment is a prerequisite for a healthy and beautiful life. They emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness in educational institutions and fostering environmental awareness among students.

They also called for preserving the environmental balance and ensuring a green environment for future generations through tree plantation. Simanta Ahmed, a leader of the Udakhali Union Chhatra Dal, stated that they are participating in various education- and environment-friendly activities as part of the central program of the Bangladesh Nationalist Chhatra Dal.

In continuation of this, the cleanliness drive and tree plantation were carried out around Burail Model School and College. According to him, such initiatives will generate positive awareness among students regarding cleanliness and environmental protection.
