He is Dr. S.I.M. Raziul Karim, the capable Civil Surgeon of Rajshahi district. Since he assumed his role in Rajshahi, a silent revolution has been underway across the district’s nine Upazila Health Complexes. Under his guidance, the quality of medical services has improved, while the long-standing harassment and suffering faced by patients have diminished.

Today, every Upazila Health Complex in Rajshahi is virtually free from the menace of middlemen (touts). Order has been restored regarding hospital sanitation (toilets), access to pure drinking water, and bed management. If a patient approaches him with a grievance, he personally makes phone calls to ensure it is resolved immediately.
