A motivational program was held in Sreemangal, Moulvibazar, to motivate students of all educational institutions participating in the Book Reading Festival to focus on book reading. On Monday (July 27), Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Md. Ziaur Rahman spoke as the chief guest at the motivational program at Sreemangal Udayan Girls High School. Debashish Das, coordinator of Book Reading 2026, spoke at the motivational program chaired by Udayan Girls High School Headmaster Kabita Rani Das. School teachers and students also spoke.
At this time, the main guest Md. Ziaur Rahman said that books develop our minds. Books are the source of knowledge. By reading books regularly, our minds are enriched. Therefore, all students should develop the habit of reading books regularly. Books should be read with joy. And the aim of organizing the Book Reading Festival in Sreemangal is to spread the joy of reading among all students.
He further said that the first phase of this event, which will be held in three phases and will last for about two months, will be held in other educational institutions in Sreemangal before the Mukul exams and thus, the joy of reading will be spread among the students through motivational gatherings.
