A colorful joy rally and discussion meeting were held to celebrate 48 years of movement, struggle, tradition and success. On Tuesday (September 1st), the Bangladesh Nationalist Party BNP Netrokona district branch organized this rally and discussion meeting. Since the morning, leaders and activists of various units gathered at the party office in Chhota Bazar with a procession of drums, banners, festoons and posters.

The anniversary program began at 11:30 am by hoisting the national flag and party flag in front of the Chhota Bazar party office. Later, a colorful joy rally started from the party office. The joy rally circled various important roads of the district town and met at the public hall in Moktarpara for the anniversary discussion meeting.

The discussion meeting was chaired by Netrokona District BNP President and Netrokona-2 (Sadar-Barhatta) MP Professor Dr. Md. Anwarul Haque, and moderated by former joint convener of the district BNP SM Moniruzzaman Dudu. District BNP General Secretary and Netrokona-3 (Kendua-Atpara) MP Dr. Md. Rafiqul Islam Hilali, former president of the district BNP and district council administrator Advocate Nuruzzaman Nuru, member secretary of the district Muktijoddha Sangsad Freedom fighter Abdul Mannan, former organizing secretary of the district BNP SM Shafiqul Quader Shuja, president of the Sadar Upazila BNP Md. Mujibur Rahman Khan, senior vice president Md. Tajezul Islam Faras Shujat, general secretary Taj Uddin Faras Sentu, one of the leaders of the district BNP Abdullah Al Mamun Khan Rony, SM Moazzem Hossain of the municipal BNP, district Chhatra Dal president Anik Mahbub Chowdhury, among others.
