Lt. Col. Kazi Al Amin Apu, Commanding Officer of the Mahananda Battalion (59 BGB), has extended his sincere greetings and best wishes on the occasion of Sharadiya Durga Puja—the primary religious festival of the Hindu community. He also conveyed his warm regards and gratitude to the presidents, general secretaries, executive committee members, and the entire Hindu community associated with the various *puja mandaps* (worship venues) located within the 59 BGB’s area of responsibility.

The Battalion Commander noted that the Mahananda Battalion (59 BGB) remains tirelessly committed to protecting the nation’s borders and maintaining internal peace and order. In this spirit of harmony and celebration, the 59 BGB is overseeing security for 13 *puja mandaps*—10 in Shibganj Upazila and 2 in Bholahat Upazila (situated within an 8-kilometer zone along the border under BGB jurisdiction), as well as one additional *puja mandap* located within 3 kilometers of the battalion headquarters.

He emphasized the battalion’s firm commitment to ensuring that the Hindu community can celebrate their major religious festival in a festive, safe, and joyful environment, noting that the Mahananda Battalion has implemented comprehensive security measures. Detailing these security arrangements, Lt. Col. Kazi Al Amin Apu stated, “We have intensified round-the-clock patrols to ensure robust and airtight security at every *puja mandap*, including those near the battalion headquarters.”

“Intelligence, surveillance, and operational activities have been significantly increased to prevent any untoward incidents or the spread of rumors.” “Furthermore, we are maintaining constant coordination with the local administration, other law enforcement agencies, and the local *puja* celebration committees.” He added, “Let us all work together to ensure a safe, beautiful, and joyful celebration.” The Mahananda Battalion has always stood by you, continues to do so, and will remain by your side in the future as well. In conclusion, he wished for the overall success of the Sharadiya Durgotsav and thanked everyone.
