A missing child was rescued by the humanitarian, alertness and immediate action of the Ansar members of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force on duty at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport and was safely handed over to his guardian after proper identification verification.
On Monday (July 27), at approximately 9:25 am, Md. Abdullah Matabbar, the 6-year-old son of Italy expatriate Mohammad Azizul Islam, was found crying and without a guardian by the on-duty Ansar member Md. Mizanur Rahman from the multi-storey car parking area of the airport. In the interest of the child’s safety, he immediately took him into his custody.
Later, he informed the shift in-charge PC Md. Nizam Uddin, who arrived at the spot and started searching in different places of the airport based on the information received from the child. At the same time, the child’s relatives were searched through miking.
At one stage, the child’s maternal uncle Md. Suman Matabbar was identified from the Canopy-2 area of the airport. Later, the child was taken to the DSO office and after proper identification verification, he was safely handed over to his maternal uncle in the presence of the authorities.
Upon receiving the child back, his relatives highly appreciated the vigilance, humanity and responsibility of the Ansar members and expressed their sincere gratitude.
