Abu Siddique nearby (65), a local resident of the Faju Saudagar Prakash Bhandari Bari in Monsurabad of the city, was the victim of this target and was killed.

He died at 11 pm on July 15, and according to local eyewitnesses, Accused shek Ahammad (Rubel) was trying to hide the body but fail & he left the place with his family.

Locals say that Sheikh Ahmed nicknamed Rubel (35) has been reckless in the area since August 5th, taking control of drugs, robbery, theft, inter-business, brick sand supply business. And presenting himself as the local BNP leader. Even though he commits injustice in public every day, no one dares to open his mouth out of fear. Because of all these reasons, it is known that he has established a reign of terror in the area, but still no one dares to speak out against him.

Because, if this place had been restricted or secured, someone would have tried to inform the police while the man was being beaten.

It is said that they have a very strong family background. They can make the impossible to possible in exchange for money. It is known that Rubel’s father Taj Mohammad (Taju) was working as a pik-up driver in the Power Development Board (PDB).

But how can a driver now own half-hundred of crores of taka, drive expensive cars, have land, flats, buildings…! Locals say that Rubel is not alone responsible for this adventure, he is so reckless because of his father’s encouragement. Not only that, some say that his uncle Kamal may also be involved in this incident. He is a scrap dealer in the same area. Locals also say that if the family was good, they would have handed over such a criminal to the law, but instead they all fled. If the CCTV footage is recovered, all the evidence will be clear.

Yesterday, July 15, at around 11 pm, a young man named Rubel and his associate Saiful (28) had an argument with Abu Siddique about why he went to the police station to report the theft of batteries of battery powerd autorickshawa. A rickshaw puller said he saw the incident and also try to off Rubel but Rubel didn’t listen anyone.

Eyewitness said to the media :
“Rubel hit him in the testicles with an iron rim, and Abu Siddique fell to the ground with that blow.
A person named Basar said — “I called Rubel you are my father, and told him not to hit the old man again or he will die, but he still did not stop. The incident was not reported throughout the night.
The family members know that he regularly guards the garage on duty at night and returns home in the morning. There was no turning back! All the locals went and saw Abu Siddique lying dead on the pickup truck.

Doublemooring Police Station Officer-in-Charge Shahinur Rahman said that this will definitely be a proper investigation, we are trying to arrest the accused.

It is known that, Doublemooring Police Station has taken the eyewitness garage owner Mizan and another eyewitness, approximately 15 years old, into police custody.

According to information from the residents, it is known that Rubel has been a drug addict for a long time and is involved in drug dealing, theft, robbery, but has been involved in exchange for money several times. Intimidating people by introducing himself as a BNP leader, occupying land, creating illegal obstacles, and exerting influence are his daily routine said Local’s.

Even a few months ago, the Doublemooring Police Station authorities detained him, but later released him.

When talking to the son of the deceased Abu Siddique, Aslam, he said —” The main killer of my father is Rubel, son of Tajur, and Saiful son of Mia, my complaint is about Rubel and his associates. Those who will try to cover up the main secret of the murder by making him an accused are also criminals, I demand that the main accused of my father’s murder be arrested and hanged.

Police & intelligence teams are trying to arrest the main killer and his accomplice. A tense situation prevails in the Mansurabad area in this regard.
