Govt’s head upset by mob tide: Mirza Abbas

Mirza Abbas, a member of the BNP’s standing committee, said that the government has lost its head after seeing the tide of people in the BNP’s movement to establish voting rights and restore democracy. The ground beneath their feet has shifted. They are now going abroad and protesting to stay in power.

He said the above in his address as the chief guest at the Sylhet District Youth Dal conference at the city’s historic registry grounds on Saturday afternoon.
He said, BNP movement will start from Sylhet. Sylhet is a sacred place filled with the memories of Gunij. The development of this land was led by the late Royal Admiral Mahbub Ali Khan, the late M Saifur Rahman, the public leader M Ilyas Ali who was detained in a prison called Ghum. Therefore, a new era of movement will be introduced from Sylhet for the establishment of voting rights and restoration of democracy by the hand of the new leader selected through the youth party conference. The fascist government will fall in the proposed movement from Sylhet.
Sylhet District Jubo Dal convener Siddiqur Rahman Paplu presided over the conference, convener committee member secretary Maksud Ahmed, members Mizanur Rahman Neshar and Liton Ahmed jointly managed the conference, Jubo Dal central president Sultan Salah Uddin Tuku inaugurated.
Earlier in the morning, the present guests formally inaugurated the conference by hoisting the national flag and the party flag. Then the National Anthem and Party Anthem were performed.
BNP Chairperson’s Advisor Tahsina Rushdi Luna, Khandaker Abdul Muktadir, Dr. spoke as special guests in the conference. Enamul Haque Chowdhury, BNP Central Executive Committee Member and Sylhet City Mayor Ariful Haque Chowdhury, BNP Central Assistant Secretary Small Credit Abdur Razzak, BNP Executive Committee Member Abul Kaher Chowdhury Shamim, Sylhet District BNP President Abdul Qayyum Chowdhury and General Secretary Advocate Emran Ahmad Chowdhury.
Abdul Monayem Munna, Central General Secretary of Bangladesh Nationalist Youth Party, spoke as the main speaker. Mamun Hasan, Central Senior Vice President of Juba Dal, spoke as the special speaker.
Metropolitan BNP member secretary Miftah Siddiqui, Metropolitan Youth Dal convenor Najibur Rahman Najib, Sylhet District BNP organizing secretary Shamim Ahmad, District Volunteers Party member secretary Azizul Hossain Aziz, District Chhatra Dal president Altaf Hossain Sumon, Mahanagar Chhatra Dal president Sudeep Jyoti Ash, district president General Secretary Delwar Hossain Dinar and Metropolitan General Secretary Fazle Rabbi Ahsan.

Meanwhile, there is great enthusiasm among the youth leaders and workers around the conference. Since Saturday morning, hundreds of leaders and activists came to the conference venue with a procession. A festive atmosphere prevailed at the conference venue with the procession of leaders and activists. The leaders and activists raised various slogans about BNP, Ziaur Rahman, Khaleda Zia and Tarek Rahman. Anti-government slogans are also heard in their mouths. A large pandal was set up at the registry ground of the convention venue. Banners, festoons, placards have been placed around the field.
