The Asia Cup is now set to stage the finals. Pakistan and Sri Lanka will meet in the Asia Cup final on Sunday (September 11). Discussions about which team will take home the Asia Cup title started 24 hours before the match.

The result will be met in Dubai on Sunday night. Statistics show that Sri Lanka has a strong chance of winning the Asia Cup. But overall Pakistan is ahead again. However, Pakistan is on the backfoot after losing to Sri Lanka in the Super Four. Pakistan’s batsmen could not stand up to the Lankan bowlers in Friday’s match.

Skipper Babar Azam is worried about the batsmen not getting runs before the final. In the previous match too, Pakistan lost due to batting disaster against Afghanistan. They were saved by two sixes of pacer Nasim Shah in the last over. Definitely the final.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka also made two changes to the eleven in Friday’s match. The Lankan team management gave Dhananjaya De Silva and youngster Pramod Madushan a chance in the playing XI, replacing Charith Asalanka and Asitha Fernando. Pramod Madushan made his T20 debut. He took two wickets. So he can be seen in the team in the final.

Possible XI of the two teams-

Pakistan XI: Babar Azam (captain), Mohammad Rizwan (wicketkeeper), Fakhar Zaman, Iftikhar Ahmed, Khushdil Shah, Shadab Khan, Asif Ali, Mohammad Nawaz, Naseem Shah Haris Rauf and Mohammad Hasnain.

Sri Lanka XI: Pathum Nishanka, Kushal Mendis (wicketkeeper), Dhananjay de Silva, Danuska Gunathilaka, Vanuka Rapakse, Dasun Saka (captain), Wanidu Hasaranga, Chamika Karunaratne, Mahesh Thiksana, Pramod Madhushan, Dilshan Madhushanka.
