The abattoir located in the area adjacent to Daudnagar railway line of Shaistaganj upazila is being destroyed due to carelessness and neglect. Locals complain that this is happening due to lack of supervision by the administration. In 1971, 11 freedom fighters were given mass graves at that place. But today it is not developed. Although the graves of various freedom fighters of the district have been preserved, this monument has not been preserved even today. There has been anger among the freedom fighters of Shaistaganj. When Independence Day comes, only the cutting fence is placed around it. After that, there is no news of this savior. Local and surrounding Tokairas unwrapped the star and took it away. Later, the slaughterhouse returned to its old state. Being unprotected, passers-by defecate and garbage is dumped. As a result, the sanctity of the slaughterhouse is being destroyed. Besides, there is a car parking stand at that place. But it does not look like the administration is looking after it permanently. Locals have demanded its permanent renovation soon.
