An awareness meeting was held with women leaders in Bandarban to eradicate tuberculosis.Last Thursday Bangladesh Tuberculosis Prevention Association Bandarban District Branch organized this exchange meeting at Zafran Restaurant in Bandarban. Dr.Abu Noman Bin Azad,Medical Officer of Civil Surgeon Office and Bandarban District General Secretary of Natab MA Momen Chowdhury were present at this time.Local women leaders participated in the program organized under the overall supervision of Regional Coordinator of Bangladesh Tuberculosis Prevention Association (NATB) Helal Khandkar. Speakers said that if cough and fever occur, if you contact the health department without panicking, you can get tested for tuberculosis at the government hospital for free.The government is providing drugs from government hospitals free of charge when tuberculosis is diagnosed and regular consumption of these drugs cures the disease completely.Speakers requested everyone to be aware and contact the nearest hospital in case of illness.
