A two-and-a-half-year-old child named Muntasir Rahman Hadi died after drowning in Chekanagar village of Chunarughat upazila of Habiganj. He fell while playing in the pond near the house during Jumma prayers yesterday. His body floated in the pond without the family members searching for it in various ways. Later he was rescued and taken to Chunarughat Upazila Health Complex where the doctor declared him dead. He is the son of Noman Mia of that village. Many such children are often drowning. But still the parents are not aware.

Conscious circles think that if parents and family members are not more aware, many people are drowning in water. Meanwhile, as there was no complaint, the body was handed over to the family.
