Kulaura Thana police have arrested a lustful father on charges of raping his daughter in Kulaura, Moulvibazar.

On Tuesday (April 25) afternoon, the police arrested the bigoted father on the charge of raping his daughter in Kulaura. A bigoted father accused of raping his daughter was arrested from Giasnagar village of the upazila.

According to Kulaura police station, Aftab Ali (Chinu Mia) of Giasnagar village of Kulaura upazila raped his teenage daughter, a 12-year-old madrasa student, late at night on April 22. After that father Aftab Ali locked the girl in the house not to tell anyone about the incident. At some point two days after the incident, the girl went to her maternal grandfather’s house in the neighboring village of Lashkarpur and informed her maternal grandmother about the matter. On hearing the incident, the girl’s grandmother Rozina Begum came to the Kulaura police station on the morning of April 25 and complained that her granddaughter was forcibly raped by her father Katrik. Later, the police conducted an immediate raid and arrested the rapist’s fanatical father, Chinu Mia, from his own house in Giasnagar village. When the police interrogated the raped girl, the father told the police about the rape.

Meanwhile, the police admitted the girl to Kulaura Upazila Health Complex.
