The Meteorological Department had earlier informed that the moon will rise in the country’s sky this evening and will be visible to the naked eye. In response to this, the Islamic Foundation (Ifa) issued a notification on Thursday urging not to be confused by the advance news.

After this, the Meteorological Department also changed its position. The organization said, the moon can be seen in the sky of Bangladesh on Friday. But earlier said – ‘will be seen’. According to EFA notification, National Moon Sighting Committee is the sole responsible authority for moon sighting. The committee decided on the moon after analyzing the information received from the Meteorological Department, Space Research Center and District Commissioners.
