When people are disorientated in the scorching sun and intense heat of Baisakh. In the same way, the animals have become hungry in the heat. A cuckoo bird was left in the heat. The bird got disoriented and crashed into an autorickshaw while flying and died a tragic death. Pedestrians tried their best to save him, but finally the songbird Cuckoo fell to his death.

The incident took place on Sunday (April 17) shortly before Azampur market in Adampur of Kamalganj upazila of Moulvibazar district. Taposh Chakraborty, Divisional Manager of Lalati Seed Company, was driving a motorcycle through that road. On the way, he saw a bird in flight suddenly hit a moving auto-rickshaw and fell down in the field flapping its wings. Then Taposh Chakraborty stopped the motorcycle and went to the bird and saw that it had lost consciousness. Then some others who were traveling along this path came forward. Later they tried desperately to save the life of the seriously injured bird. To save the bird’s life, Taposh Chakraborty along with passers-by brought water from the nearby sink and fed the bird and poured it on the bird’s head. Others wind the bird. At one point the unconscious bird opens its eyes and looks at the people. Taposh Chakraborty and others are happy as the bird regains consciousness. Soon the bird lost consciousness again and closed its eyes. Then slowly fell into the lap of death.
Everyone was speechless to see such a brutal death of the song bird Cuckoo. Tapash Chakraborty posted this incident on his Facebook ID in the evening. With the picture of the bird, he wrote, seeing the death of the cuckoo, everyone’s eyes became blurry in a moment. This is the sign or expression of human love towards nature and animals. Taposh Chakraborty also wrote, love is humanity, humanity is still alive, even though the scope is narrow, it is fighting vigorously.
