Jatiya Party is working to improve the destiny of people of the country: Salma Islam MP

Jatiya Party Co-Chairman Former Minister of State for Women and Child Affairs Advocate Salma Islam said that Jatiya Party has been working for a long time to improve the destiny of the people of the country. Therefore, as a party worker, each of you must work for the welfare of the people of this region.

He said these things to the leaders and activists of Shikaripara, Baruakhali and Jaykrishnapur Union Jatiya Party at the party office in Badharnapara, Nawabganj, Dhaka on Tuesday afternoon.

Salma Islam said, our main task now is to make the organization dynamic and strong by activating every union and ward committee, forgetting all differences. The Jatiya Party emerged as a political party on January 1, 1986 by the hand of the late President Hussain Muhammad Ershad with the aim of creating a new political system suitable for an independent country by changing the fundamental socio-economic and administrative structure of the colonial period.

He said, during the long 9-year rule of Ershad government, extensive development activities took place in this country. The benefit of which every person of the country is now enjoying.

Atahar Ali as president and Abdus Salam as general secretary of Baruakhali Union and Md. Jaikrishnapur Union Jatiya Party Committee was formed with Monir Hossain as President and Mahfuz Khan as General Secretary.
