Next March 12 is National Primary Education Week

National Primary Education Week and Primary Education Medal-2023 is going to be held on March 12 after being closed for 2 years during the corona period. State Minister of Primary and Mass Education. Zakir Hossain will officially inaugurate the day at Osmani Smriti Auditorium in the capital at 9:30 am.
Mostafizur Rahman, President of the Standing Committee of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, was the special guest of the event. Farid Ahmed, Secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education will preside. This year the theme of the day is ‘Quality Primary Education, Initiation to Build Smart Bangladesh’.
On the occasion of education week, the Directorate of Primary Education has undertaken various programs including sports and cultural competitions, discussion meetings, education fairs across the country. Primary education medals for 2019 and 2022 will be distributed at the national ceremony in Dhaka.
21 in 21 categories in 2019 and 111 including 90 children winners in sports and cultural competitions and in 2022 21 in 21 categories and 105 including 84 children in sports and cultural competitions. Apart from this, in 2022, 42 individuals and institutions will be given certificates in 21 categories.
Medal Recipients According to the 2013 medal policy, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in sports and cultural competitions will receive a certificate and a crest along with Tk 20,000, Tk 15,000 and Tk 10,000 respectively. Winners in the individual and organization categories will receive Tk 25,000, a certificate and a crest.
On the occasion of Education Week celebration, Director General of Primary Education Department Shah Rezwan Hayat said that the government is committed to ensuring quality primary education. The Department of Primary Education is working with utmost sincerity for the education of children to build a good citizen of tomorrow.
Primary and Mass Education Secretary Farid Ahmed said that the government has recently undertaken a series of programs to improve the quality of primary education, including teacher recruitment, online transfer, unique ID of students, promotion of pre-primary education to 2 years, new curriculum formulation, provision of primary scholarships. If these programs are implemented, new life will be infused in the field of primary education.
The Minister of State for Primary and Mass Education congratulated the countrymen on the occasion of Education Week and said that our initiation is quality primary education.
