Staff Reporter: Chanachur vendor seriously injured after being run over by a BRTC bus in Kumarkhali, Kushtia. The incident took place in front of Singer showroom at Kumarkhali bus stand on Tuesday afternoon. Anwar Hossain (30), son of Abul Hossain of Khoksa Upazila of Kushtia, was injured. He is a salesman by profession. Eyewitnesses said that the seller of Chanachur while getting off from the BRTC bus towards Kushtia from Kumarkhali bus stand slipped and was crushed by the rear wheel. When he was taken to Kumarkhali Upazila Health Complex with serious injuries, the doctor on duty transferred him to Kushtia Sadar Hospital for better treatment. Kumarkhali Upazila Health Complex RMO Saeed Shakib said that the condition of the patient is critical as two thighs were crushed by the wheels of the bus. He has been referred to Kushtia General Hospital for advanced treatment. Officer-in-charge of Kumarkhali police station Md. Mohsin Hossain said that the Chanachur seller was seriously injured after being crushed by the wheels of the BRTC bus. The bus has already been impounded.
