Sayed Md. Nazrul Islam: Member of Parliament of Chittagong 8 Constituency, brave freedom fighter Moshalem Uddin Ahmed, was held in the 2nd prayer. On February 6, Monday afternoon, MP Moshalem Uddin Ahmed’s 2nd prayer funeral was held at Gomdandi Pilot Model High School grounds. After the 1st funeral prayer in Dhaka in the morning, MP Moslem Uddin was brought by helicopter to Kadhurkhil Government High School ground in Boalkhali, after which the MP was taken home to the village, from there the second funeral was held at Bad Ashar Boalkhali Gomdandi Pilot High School. Deputy Minister of Education Barrister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Naufel, Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Barrister Biplab Barua, Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong Abul Basar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman, Chairman of Zilla Parishad ATM Payrul Islam, former Chairman of CDA Abduch Chalam, former South District A.League Vice President Motaherul Islam, Upazila Parishad Acting Chairman SM Salim, Boalkhali Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mohammad Mamun, Boalkhali Municipality Mayor Zahurul Islam, Patia Upazila Nirbahi Officer Atiqul Mamun, Barrister Kofil Uddin, Jatiya Party Chittagong Metropolitan Ex-Convenor Solaiman Alam Sheth, President of Boalkhali Upazila Awami League Nurul Amin Chowdhury, General Secretary- Rezaul Karim Raja, Vice Chairman of Standard Bank Mohammad Jahedul Haque, Mayors of various municipalities, Chairman of various Upazilas,People from all walks of life including Vice Chairman, UP Chairman, party, various social organizations participated. After the prayers, the dead body was taken in front of the party office of the district Awami League in a car at 5.30 pm. Moshalem Uddin Ahmad will be buried next to his mother’s grave at Hazrat Gharibullah Shah Mazar after the third Janaza at Jamiatul Falah Jame Masjid premises in Chittagong city on Tuesday (February 7) at 11 am. He was battling cancer for the past two years. He was 75 years old at the time of his death. Besides his wife, there are 4 daughters in his family. He died at Evercare Hospital in the capital Dhaka at 12:38 pm on Sunday. Chittagong South District Awami League President Moshalem Uddin Ahmad was elected MP for Chittagong-8 Constituency on January 13, 2020.
