To control crime and ensure safe roads in Kamalganj of Moulvibazar, the municipality is being brought under CCTV cameras. In the first phase, 30 cameras are being installed at various important places in the municipality. It is known that for a long time, the residents of Kamalganj Municipality were demanding the installation of CCTV cameras for security purposes. In view of that demand, finally the mayor of the city. Jewel Ahmed has started the work of installing CC cameras in important places in the municipality at a cost of Tk 2 lakh 85 thousand. The mayor said that this work will be completed within the next week.
Town market traders said, ‘This CC camera will be very useful in the safety of everyone’s life and property along with the safety of the town. Moreover, if the municipal mayor and the police monitor this CC camera universally, the traffic congestion in the market area will be reduced.

Kamalganj police station officer-in-charge Sanjay Chakraborty said, ‘due to the installation of these CCTV cameras, if any untoward incident occurs in the city, the police will be able to easily find the criminals. Along with that, it will be possible to ensure the safety of the city through digital monitoring.
