The court has sent both the plaintiff and the accused to jail for giving false information in a fight case in Chalitarabda Noagaon village of Bahubal upazila in Habiganj. There is commotion everywhere about this incident.

The learned Chief Judicial Magistrate of Habiganj, Mohammad Harun-or-Rashid, gave the verdict on Tuesday (January 24) at noon.

The convicts are Badi Amir Hossain, son of late Intaz Mia, Asami Abdul Haid and Farid Mia, sons of Mofiz Ullah of the same village, and his son Nuruzzaman Mia.

Peshkar Abdul Hamid said that Amir Hossain filed a case on August 16, 2020 when there was a fight between Amir Hossain and Mofiz Ulla of Noagaon village. On January 20, 21, charges were framed against the accused in court and several witness dates were held. Last October 13 was the date for the witnesses to appear in court. But on that day the plaintiff’s mother-in-law died and gave wrong information to the court without presenting the witness. Confused by two types of information from both sides, the court ordered the Bahubal Model Police Station to investigate the matter. Police investigation revealed that the plaintiff’s mother-in-law was still alive and well. As a result, the information given by both the parties proved to be false.

Then on Tuesday (January 24) in the judgment of the case, the court ordered the plaintiff Amir Hossain to be imprisoned for three days and the accused Abdul Haid, Farid Mia and Nuruzzaman Mia for one day each.

All the four convicts were present in the court when the verdict was announced. Later they were sent to jail.
