Fahima Akhtar (15), a ninth grade student, committed suicide by hanging herself with a ventilator inside the madrasa bathroom in Madhavpur. On Sunday (January 15) morning, the police broke the bathroom door of the madrasa and found his body hanging.

She is a student of Ratanpur Jamia Arabia Habibiya Title Mahila Madrasa of Noapara UP in upazila and Md. of Srighar village in Nasirnagar upazila of Brahmanbaria district. Successful Mia’s daughter.

That student’s father, Sofol Mia, said that recently Fahima Akhtar was suffering from a lot of mental illness (the jinn’s claws)! Her sister Akima Akhter and other students committed suicide by going to the bathroom and closing the door on Sunday morning.

Rajeev Roy, Sub-Inspector of Madhavpur Police Station, said that at around 7:30 am on Saturday morning, the student went to the bathroom, locked the door from inside, wrapped the veil around her neck and committed suicide with the ventilator rod. On receiving the information, the police recovered the body and sent it to Habiganj Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
