1 person was killed in a collision between a microbus and a truck in Manikpur of Madhavpur upazila on Dhaka-Sylhet highway. Two others were injured in this incident.

Yesterday Thursday (January 12) at 5 o’clock in the morning, a Sylhet-bound truck rammed the microbus, causing the microbus to twist and turn. At that time, when the passengers in the micro were seriously injured, they were taken to Habiganj Sadar Hospital, where one named Abdul Malek died.

The deceased Abdul Malek is the son of Shukur Ali of Sudiakhola village of Shaestaganj upazila. The names of the injured are not known. Two cars involved in the accident are in the custody of the Shaistaganj Highway Police.
