A four-day theater and cultural festival begins at Gaibandha

A four-day theatrical and cultural festival has begun to mark the 35th anniversary of Gaibandha Theatre. Party and national flags were hoisted at the Shaheed Minar square at 11 am (January 11) with the slogan ‘Shaheed Binashi Bukhta Eiktane Chali Sajte’. Later, Asadullah Faraji, a member of the presidium of Bangladesh Village Theater, inaugurated the festival by flying pigeons. After that, a joyous procession left the square of Shaheed Minar and circled the main main road of the city and ended there again. Gaibandha Theater President Alamgir Kabir Badal, 35 Years Celebration Council Member Secretary Ariful Islam Babu and others spoke in a discussion before the procession.

Patakhela at Islamia High School ground at 12 noon, Kanan Theater’s drama Bou at 4 pm and Gaibandha Theater and Nandan Theater’s drama Gaon Garam’s Kichcha, evening discussion, Kurigram’s Kripa Sindhu and her team Krishan Pala-Banbase Sita were held.

In the evening, the discussion meeting was chaired by Alamgir Kabir Badal, president of Gaibandha Theater in Shaheed Minar premises, and Zilla Parishad Chairman Abu Bakar Siddique was the chief guest. Among others, the mayor spoke at the meeting. Matlubar Rahman, Executive Head of Mass Development Center M Abdus Salam, General Secretary of Bangladesh Village Theater Taufiq Hasan Maina, Ariful Islam Babu and others.

In addition, on January 12, there will be a discussion at the square of the Municipal Shaheed Minar at 5 p.m., Rangpur Theater Force’s drama – Yuddha se noi no, Gaibandha Antaranga Theater’s drama – God’s child is not, Abhishap and Sundarganj Nachima Puthul Nachher – Puthul Naach.
On Friday 13th January at 5 pm at Paur Shaheed Minar Square, Rangpur Paradibandi Sangeet Angan sang by visually impaired artists, Lalmonirhat Kashiabari Durgapur Jatrapala- Sagar Bhasa.
The seminar will be held on Saturday, January 14 at 6 pm in the public library auditorium. Professor Zahurul Qayyum will present the keynote and local artistes will perform the songs of Salim Al Deen.
