While working in Gobindganj of Gaibandha, a laborer named Babul Mia (50) was buried 10 feet below the ground when the soil of the safety tank collapsed. After trying for half an hour, the fire service personnel rescued the trapped worker.

The incident took place on Tuesday (January 10) at around 12 noon at Hospital Mor area of Gobindganj town. Chapapara Babul Mia is the son of deceased Omar Ali of Bujruk Beyalia village upazila. Locals said that at that time, Babul Mia was working as a laborer to lift bricks. Suddenly, the ground on the side of a safety tank collapsed and he was buried about 10 feet below the ground.

In this regard, Gobindganj Fire Station worker Satyajit Roy said, after getting information about the incident, Babul Mia was rescued alive after reaching the spot after trying for half an hour. Later, Babul Mia was admitted to the hospital.
