Bandarban Correspondent: A mobile court has been conducted in the market area of ​​Bandarban Municipality with the aim of preventing the illegal use of banned polythene to protect the environment.Last Tuesday (27 December) The Department of Environment and Bandarban district administration conducted a mobile court against the use of polythene banned by the government in Bandarban Bazar area.

The mobile court was led by District Administration Executive Magistrate Md. Sajjad Zahid Ratul and Executive Magistrate Prabir Biswas.The assistant director of the Department of Environment,Md.Fakhar Uddin Chowdhury confirmed the matter.
Inspector Md.Ashfakur Rahman and members of law enforcement and journalists were present at the time.

Md.Salim,The owner of Meem Store in Bandarban Bazaar,Eas fined Tk 4,000 and 61 kg of prohibited polythene bags were seized for violating the relevant section of the Bangladesh Environmental Protection Act 1995 (Amended-2010) during the operation.Md.Fakhar Uddin Chowdhury, Assistant director of Environment Directorate Bandarban office, Said that “this type of mobile court will continue in the future to protect the balance of the environment”.
